This duct allows a 5015 fan to be mounted to the hot end in a "PULL" orientation rather than traditionally pushing air onto the hot end. The primary reason for this design was to remove the interference to the part cooling fan. Traditional hot end fans blow in and around the hot end heatsink causing turbulence and part cooling inefficiency. IMO
