The gemuine stand is horrible. I found a nicely designed stand for the pad from nessiko, but it was still using space on my desk. Now I made a holder for the NSK-stand that fits in the profile of the printer. I also made a spacer to adjust the hight to your comfort. Print some more to stack them.I used no support. It is a little bit shaky, but it works fine for me.
