V4 Salty Seasharks ROV
thingiverse
We've just unveiled our cutting-edge ROV team's latest model at Seaperch Nationals 2017, where we proudly represented Team OP-44. You can check out the detailed notebook here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1-novmEmRwoRTffYvajyFaxYPcdmHC6gRVJSIo12Lu38/edit?usp=sharing. Our ROV is classified as an open-class bot, boasting six powerful motors and a state-of-the-art camera. At nationals, we showcased our skills in the notebook competition, securing a respectable 5th place finish, but unfortunately, our pool games didn't quite go as planned. The pressure at a depth of 10ft proved too much for our dome's seal, causing it to crack and leak. As water poured in, the dome transformed into a massive air bubble, which then became an unwieldy weight that sank to the bottom of the pool. Our ROV performs flawlessly in depths up to 8ft, but anything beyond that threshold poses significant pressure-related issues.
