V3 7 LED holder Mk2
thingiverse
This remix builds upon rickym1970's original 7 LED light bar, specifically designed for 24 volt operation and requiring a crucial 330 Ohm resistor in series with the LEDs to prevent overloading. In the initial prototype depicted in the first picture, the 330 Ohm resistor is cleverly concealed within black heat shrink tubing on the red wire. This early design serves as a clear illustration of the principle involved. Choosing this particular design offers several advantages. Firstly, it features reinforcement that prevents the light bar from flopping due to heat exposure, making PLA a suitable choice for its construction. The LEDs employed in this remake are standard 5 mm high brightness white LEDs, ensuring optimal illumination performance. Key improvements over the original design include addressing the issue of flopping caused by PLA softening under heat.
