V2 - Xiaomi Mi Band 2 replacement wrist band / chain

I'm going to make a Magnetic, filament-fused Mi Band 2 replacement wrist band that's perfect for anyone who wants a metal watch-style band. Unfortunately, my original MiBand wristband broke, and I've always wanted a design that's more like a metal watch, so this is my replacement design. To make this band, you'll need: A 3D-Printer to create the links Raw bits of 1.75mm filament to fuse them together Four magnets (6mm diameter x 3mm) to connect the endparts Superglue to hold everything in place If you've made one of these bands, post it here! Have fun printing, running, fusing, timing, and monitoring your progress. After printing: Assembly is a breeze. Connect as many links as you need to the ends of the shell, then stick small bits of raw filament into the holes. Next, connect the two magnetic endparts. To fuse the filaments together, heat up a thick needle with a lighter and poke it into each end of the raw filament. This will cause the ends to expand and hold in place. Finally, glue two magnets into each endpart. The individual links are fused together using raw bits of 1.75mm filament, creating a strong and durable bond.
