They secure the mdf frame in place if yours has come loose like mine had. By attaching them to your printer, they greatly reduce the noise level by over 50%. This is especially beneficial if your printer sits on a surface prone to resonating sound. The stabilizers also prevent the printer from moving around when it starts printing quickly, which was previously an issue for me as my printer would often walk across my desk. To further enhance their effectiveness, you can apply adhesive tape to the feet of the stabilizers to keep them in place while they do their job. I highly recommend printing these stabilizers at a 15-20% infill with two shells and two or three top and bottom layers. Adding too much infill will compromise the sound-absorbing properties, so it's best to stick with a moderate amount of material. It's recommended to print at least two stabilizers, although you can theoretically print as many as you need! Each strut requires around 8-10 cubic centimeters of material.
