V2 Gravitrax Thingitube
thingiverse
The design of the flipping part has been modified to ensure it prints flawlessly on most printers. A new STL file, kindly supplied by Marcel_X, replaces the need for a special metal axle. I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Marcel_X and basti_vapes for their insightful comments and contributions that made these improvements possible. It's essential to note that the balance of the flipping part depends on how solidly it is printed. On my Flashforge Finder with print settings set to "fine," I achieve a well-balanced result, where "fine" corresponds to 3 perimeter shells. If your part turns out unbalanced, try adjusting the number of perimeter shells. Two types of flipping tubes are included: one with a straight release (green tube in the video) and the other with a U-turn (dark red tube). The uploaded files offer various shape and height variations, with greater height resulting in increased speed. For optimal results, print the plate bottom down. The ring is printed separately (upside down) and glued into the plate bottom. Meanwhile, the tube is printed upright.
