I have put in countless hours and effort into perfecting this design. If you decide to print and install this tensioner, I would greatly appreciate it if you could consider leaving a small tip. If assembling this appears too complicated to you and you'd rather opt for a simpler tensioner with fewer additional parts, you might want to check out this alternative: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3229130 UPDATE 1: After further investigation, I discovered that the primary source of friction when turning the wheel is indeed the PLA wheel rubbing against the PLA main body. This proved to be the limiting factor in how much belt tension could be achieved, rather than the belt tension itself. To resolve this issue, I added a washer into the main body and reversed the direction of the wheel. Now, the nut contacts the washer instead of the PLA parts, eliminating any friction between them. The wheel turns significantly easier after this modification, allowing me to achieve excessive belt tension that produces a sound similar to a guitar string. While achieving such high tension isn't the ultimate goal, it's nice to know it's possible! The main body STL file prints seamlessly without supports! To achieve an excellent result, simply turn on your bridging settings and remove any excess strings after printing. This is a variant of my original design that performs better but requires more effort to install and specialized parts. If you're willing to go the extra mile, the outcome will surely exceed your expectations! The required components are: 2 M4x45 lens head screws with flanges (refer to the image) 2 M4 threaded sleeves with a 5 mm outer diameter (see image) 4 M4 nuts 2 M4 flange nuts (check out the image) 1 M6x20 hex bolt 1 M6 nut 1 M6x18x1.6 washer The original M5 bolt and nut of the pulley can be reused. For an installation guide, please refer to my original design. However, note that the threaded sleeve must fit precisely through the guiderail without any play. If necessary, adjust your horizontal expansion settings. If you're unable to edit STLs yourself or need assistance, feel free to reach out and let me know how much I should alter the size of the guiderail, and I'll make a quick change to the file for you. Enjoy!
