V160 (GETRAG 233) Cover Housing - Die Cast Casing

Actually, I intended to publish my whole project in stages once finished, but this custom gear housing turned out so exceptionally well that I just had to showcase it to you straight away. Just like with my previous bell housing design (V160 (GETRAG 233) Bell Housing - Die Cast Casing), I made sure to include both the positive and negative shapes from the outset. I kept the wall thickness consistent as much as feasible, considering the complexities involved in designing a gear set. Getting all the crucial elements right, such as interface points for shift rails, speed sensors, plugs, and supports, was a true test of my design skills, but it paid off. Seeing the finished result makes me very proud. If you liked this design, then let's see some likes – they make my day! Looking forward to finishing up the full gearbox over the coming weeks. Stay tuned for updates!
