V1.1 SG22 "Ariel" Fixed stock
thingiverse
WIP!!! If you print please comment or message me how it goes I am still working out bugs, would be nice to know everyones experience because everyones settings and printers are set up different.EDIT V1.1: I added a second model in the pack. Don't use the original slimmed down fixture. Have gotten reports of a bad export. Something with the file tweaked and left a big gap. I have since slimmed it down even more, and fixed the error so it is all connected. This one is also only 255mm. Will work to get another at 235mm. See second photo for update. Old is third pic. This is a remix of the Ariel fixed stock made originally by XITSXTHEXPOPEX on Cults. If you want something similar for a buffer tube platform please support him. If you're seeing this in cults check thingiverse for the most updated version, that's what I can generally get to first. The original was made for MIL spec buffer tubes, I just modified it for the SG22 specifically. It has a cutout on the back so you slide it onto the rail on the rear first and then bolt it in. Theoretically any AR with an internal buffer or "buferless" system would probably work with this, but until I am positive and have made sure it works every time, I would limit this to the SG22, the modified reinforced one inparticular. Not much difference, that is just what I designed this around. I will be working the next couple of weeks on making it truly universal.I made one with "relief cuts" (a design) to save on filament if you wanted the full size but didn't want all that filament. This is a bulky print so expect to check your roll. I also included a couple that are cut down if you wanted a fixed stock connected to the grip that isn't quite as large, as shown in the photos. Two sizes for most of the choices, 255mm and 235mm in case you don't want a ton of supports on a stock ender 3 bed. Print in whichever orientation you're comfortable with, but generally for prints like these they're stronger if they are horizontal, just as I have placed them in the editor.I will be working to make one from scratch soon with a similar design in mind with a less angled grip for ergonomics.I've really enjoyed the SpaceGat 22 projects I have been working on, so if anyone wants something specific let me know.Print whichever one you want 1% larger if you're worried about your printer if it sucks. This is still a work in progress so you may need to modify a bit. Will be snug!
