V-tail for some old graupner glider
thingiverse
I designed a v-tail for an old unknown Graupner or Multiplex glider, featuring a three-part design with two reinforcing carbon spars in the fin and one in the rudder. Feel free to scale it and mix it to fit your plane's specifications. The rudder breaks away kind of like supports after printing, with slots included for hinges. The fin requires some special settings to work properly. I used 0.2 layers, two walls, Z seam alignment set to user-specified, and ensured that the lines do not start at the leading edge of the fin or trailing edge of the rudder. The infill is GRID, with a density of 10 to 18%, connected lines, 15% overlap, and gaps between walls disabled. I also enabled filter out tiny gaps and added an 8-line brim. The center connector piece can be printed with two walls. To ensure proper connection, try setting the infill so that the two rear reinforcement spar holes get connected to it. The most forward hole does not need this as it's tilted and always gets connected.
