V-Slot SmoothieBoard Case
thingiverse
A Simple Smoothieboard Case Setup with V-Slot System Integration. To get started, I've designed a smoothieboard case setup that works seamlessly with the V-Slot system. My goal was to manage most cables inside the case and secure them in place using cable ties. The slots on either side of the case are there for a reason - they'll hold all the cables snugly in their designated spots. You'll also notice holes at the top and bottom of the case, perfect for cable exit points. The lid is specifically designed to accommodate a 60mm fan (the same one I've linked here: https://a.co/cY5t6AM). With this setup, you can enjoy optimal airflow that's efficiently directed out of nearby vents. To access the FreeCad files, just follow the link provided - keep in mind that there are still a few tweaks to be made before the design is complete. To get more than just basic USB and SD Micro slot functionality, you'll need to build those features yourself. As for the case's internal cable management system, I'm not entirely convinced it can handle all the cables. The zip tie holders might not be perfectly placed, and the cable management holes may not be large enough to accommodate every single wire. Print Settings: Supports: No Infill: 30% Notes: For a stronger build, consider using PETG material - its flexibility will come in handy since the lid is held on by friction alone.
