V-Slot NEMA 17 offset mounting plate
thingiverse
I was having trouble understanding why the existing OpenBuilds NEMA 17 mounting plate allows the belt to rub against the V-Slot extrusion. It seemed to me that the best solution would be to place the motor and idler pulley so that the belt runs above the surface of the extrusion, taking advantage of the empty space inside at the same time. As soon as this prints out, I'll begin working on a revised mounting plate for the idler pulley as well.
