V Slot Limit Switch Mount
thingiverse
A versatile limit switch mount I designed for use on V-Slot extrusions comes in two versions. One employs two screws and T Nuts, while the other utilizes a single screw and clips that wrap around the slot, secured by a small zip tie. The initial, simpler version required two screws, but upon further consideration, I realized one switch didn't necessitate this extra hardware. So, I created the second version. To assemble the first mount, you'll need to install your limit switches before melting the posts to secure them in place. As for its strength, a few tugs didn't dislodge it. The second design demands only one screw and a zip tie. I initially wanted to retain the melted post concept but discovered that printing it without supports proved difficult. Therefore, I opted for the zip tie approach instead. Included STEP files allow you to modify these mounts according to your preferences. Print Settings Notes: You'll need to rotate each print to achieve optimal results, as SolidWorks doesn't share the same axis alignment as other modeling software. When printing the second version, mirror the part in your printer to position the hooks consistently. Print the simpler mount with its posts facing upwards and the more complex one vertically (refer to the provided images).
