Designing parts for my MendelMax 3 printer requires a precise model of V-Slot aluminium extrusions, so I obtained the section view from OpenBuilds and created models of 20x20mm, 40x20mm, and 60x20mm extrusions using Fusion 360 Ultimate. As a geometrical guide, the Fusion 360 model proves essential, but when prototyping short extrusion assemblies for trial purposes, the STL file comes in handy. To print this extrusion, I set it upright and scale it on the z-axis to meet my specific needs.
