V-King Z axis alignment jig
thingiverse
I struggle to get the three components that make up the Z axis perfectly in line on my V-King. To simplify this, I designed a straightforward jig. The 220mm version is tailored for a single Z motor or rod end assembly. The 95mm version is intended for dual Z motors when using 3 or 4 Z drives. To use both jigs, position the motor mount by itself. Place it in a post assembly t-nut, if desired, and align the fully assembled motor assembly until it just touches one of the two prongs on the jig. Next, place the idler spacer on one of the two prongs, then repeat with the side of the idler bracket. Ensure that the wider side of the spacer faces the idler. Place the top spacer on one of the two prongs and then repeat with the top assembly. Repeat this process on the other side, starting from the same side of the printer. You can use either side, just stay consistent.
