I customized the fantastic V2 part cooling duct from mcabra to fit my custom X-carriage setup for the V-Core. My X-carriage plate is mounted upside down, so I have two wheels on top and one at the bottom. This modification allows me to use the screws that secure the hot end mount to the carriage to attach the part cooling duct as well. In the photo, you can see that I printed the part using Colorfabb's remarkable PA-CF filament, which can withstand temperatures up to 120°C in operation. Now I can heat my bed to any level without worrying about damaging my part cooler! I applied a small amount of aluminum tape to the ends of the duct to reflect the heat from the hot end's heater block, just a few millimeters away. EDIT: The PA-CF idea seemed great, but it turns out that Colorfabb significantly overestimated its heat resistance. Despite only heating my bed to 75°C, the two mounting tabs warped under the cooling fan's weight. Disappointing results. Print the duct in reliable PET-G and you won't encounter any issues with the mounting tabs bending.
