V-2 Turbine Blade
thingiverse
This scale replica represents a V-2 rocket turbine blade, powering fuel and oxidizer pumps. The rocket was the first man-made object to pass the Karman line and reach space, as well as travel at hypersonic speeds. The German Museum's archive contains original drawings of the V-2 Rocket, occasionally marked in English with U.S. Army stamps. A translated archive of all drawings can be seen here: http://translate.google.com/translate?depth=1&hl=en&rurl=translate.google.com&sl=de&tl=en&u=http://www.digipeer.de/index.php%3Fstatic%3D52. For printing enthusiasts, the model can be scaled up and printed on an FDM printer for enhanced detail. If you desire ultra-realism, consider using 6063 Aluminum and upload the .SLDPRT file to Firstcut for a cost of approximately $100 per piece or a discounted rate for bulk orders.
