V-12 motor

The creator shared their excitement about a new V-12 model that can be customized to various sizes like V-24 or V-6 by adding a modular section. They mentioned that single parts per tray are available for color printing, and the source file is included. They also added an update with a larger piston for a tighter fit. The printing process took about 7.5-8 hours with 15-20 minutes of assembly time. Skeinforge settings were 0.3 layer height, 1 extra shell, 100% infill, and reverse on for 75-78 ms. Each tray should be printed in the desired color, followed by assembling pistons and connectors with 3mm filament. The symmetrical crankshaft is assembled based on a center link piece, with two pistons per space. Linear cylinder configurations are put together using hot glue, acetone, or Krazy glue (except in the V configuration). Finally, the piston/crank assembly slides into one side of the cylinder assembly, then the other, and is glued together in the V shape. After drying, rotation pins are inserted in the crank shaft's ends followed by the crank handle. The user excitedly shared their completed project with pictures!
