Uwell Caliburn simple charging dock
prusaprinters
First time modelling anything.Might as well do a remix/remake charging dock for the Uwell Caliburn.Still a work in progress, as currently the only way to keep it upright on a desk is with blue-tack.Future ideas include a slight space to add a weight in, or mount using tiny magnets? Also planned is a way to insert the cable rotated 90 degrees, with a recess for it to sit in afterwards. Currently using hot glue to stick a rubbish cable in there. How I Designed ThisThe original ( https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3747933 ) had a super snug fit for a charging cable. As my first foray into 3d modelling, I remade the thing in Fusion 360.Changes (/improvements?) to original:Lower profile,Cable guide/canal is wider and has a curve/fillet for less strain on cable.Cable shaft on the vertical has slightly larger dimensions, to allow for larger plugs.Chamfers. Chamfers and fillets everywhere! Print instructionsPrinter Brand:Creality Printer: Ender 3 Pro Rafts:No Supports: Yes Resolution:0.2 Infill: 20%Filament:Sunlu PLA Red Notes: Print settings are basic as can be.If you want, you can add some minor supports for the cable trench on the bottom.
