UWB Helix Antenna
thingiverse
This is a UWB Helix Antenna for testing receivers or transmitters. Printed on a Form2 SLP, using copper wire for the antenna helix and a 50 Ohms feed coax. One end connected to one wire, the other end grounded. A measurement example shows a GPS antenna (MOVE2 CubeSat project). Print Settings: Printer Brand: Formlabs Printer Model: Formlabs Form 2 Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.1mm Infill: 100% Notes: This design can also be printed on a standard 3D printer, but the dielectric must be checked. Glue the copper using superglue to the printed skeleton. Tested for frequencies from 1MHz to 3.4GHz so far. It's usable starting from around 400MHz. Further testing above 3.4 GHz is necessary. Design Process: I used Solidworks to design this construction.
