UW-02 Upgraded Rotor
thingiverse
Because that's some bitch shit.Update 4/28/24 - Haha ok wow. The above note was directed at the guy who created a minor upgrade to the rotor and tried to charge for it, which was the whole reason I made this. I guess I'll leave it.Revision 4 was just uploaded, it's much closer but still not perfect. I did a lot of playing around with the magnet mounting height above the bottom of the wash tank and countersinking them into the underside of the rotor a bit (which turned out to be a supports nightmare) but settled on just flush mounting them. The wash tank has a threaded insert mounted inside a cylindrical plastic housing that the old rotor was perfectly sized to hug and the bolt came in from above and pinned the bearing to the housing. Rev 4 rattles quite a bit during operation (but literally creates whirlpools in the wash tank!) and I'm not entirely sure if that's due to my bearing not being pressed perfectly squarely into the rotor or because the ID of my rotor is a bit larger than the OD of the plastic housing. I've been meaning to get around to getting it just right but the results I was looking for have been achieved and the noise doesn't bother me as the wash/cure station is out in the garage. So I don't have any idea when I'll actually getting around to finishing this, but if you can handle a bit of noise your prints will be washed better than ever.
