I use a protective cover for my ham radio, which has exposed contacts on its battery. One of my biggest worries is that a stray bolt or nail might come into contact with the battery when I transport the equipment alongside other objects. To avoid this risk, I've always carried the ham radio separately in the past. However, with this new protective cover, I can rest assured that it's much safer to carry the ham radio along with random items, as they are now less likely to short-circuit the battery.
