The Utah Teapot serves as a widely recognized reference object within the computer graphics community. Composed by artist Bronwyn Holloway-Smith for the art series "Ghosts in the form of gifts," it was commissioned by Massey University Wellington, New Zealand in 2009. Details on this project are available at bronwyn.co.nz/projects/gifts/. This collection won the Open Source in Arts award (2010) from the New Zealand Association. "Ghostly forms that resemble long-lost objects, artifacts misclassified or simply lost, during their tenure at the Museum of New Zealand in their former location at 38-44 Buckle St" is a concept-based series developed by Holloway-Smith. Each replica is created using a combination of hand drawings and digital renderings through 3D rendering and RepRap printing processes. Users are free to access these digital files for educational use purposes under Creative Commons Attribution - Share Alike License. Discover the other models within this series by searching "Ghosts in the form of gifts" on our website. Acknowledgements are made to artist Martin Newell, who designed the Utah Teapot back in 1975 as a public domain design. This 3D model was later adapted and printed by unfold for RepRap by Vik Olliver with some further adjustments.
