In this semester-long 3DP project sponsored by Stratasys Education, University of St. Thomas students created an intricate mechanical motion machine using additive manufacturing. The device uses a single main component that articulates via an external motor to move a marble through various mechanisms. It works by (1) the motor turning the gear, (2) the gear turning a piston, and (3) the piston pushing the weight, showcasing numerous captivating twists and turns.
