This intricately designed model is perfect for your animation projects. It features an animatable turret and guns, as well as cannonball files. The ship boasts detailed texturing with canvas covers, railings, gratings, and additional finesse. This ironclad vessel was created to support the Union Naval forces guarding Southern ports against enemy Ironclad ships. The Monitor class followed a simple blueprint, including a single turret on the main deck bearing two massive cannons. Rotatable in any direction, the turret enabled attacking enemies from all sides-a revolutionary concept at the time. Structurally, the ship was made of wood timbers and skin but had an iron shielding for protection above water level against enemy fire. However, this design made the Monitor barely float 15 inches above water, causing balance issues and steering difficulties.
