USS Monitor

USS Monitor

The USS Monitor stands out as one of my all-time favorite ships, and I've always dreamed of building a detailed model. Although this is just a starting point, I'm considering creating an even more intricate model in the future. The scale used for this project is 1:140, but I'm not entirely sure why I chose that particular size. Since I haven't printed out the parts yet, I won't know about any potential tolerance issues until then. When printing individual components, you'll need to produce two of each part - air vents, anchor sides, stacks, cannons, and gun carriages. Additionally, four gun carriage caps should be printed. The propeller and shaft are included as a single piece, along with the anchor in another single piece. However, my printer isn't capable of printing them together, so I've divided them into separate components. The holes running along the main deck and turret serve as mounting points for railings and flagpoles. Unfortunately, I've had to revise the licensing agreement for this item due to someone selling my other items on eBay without permission.
