The USS Monitor scaled down to just 1/400th of its original size now takes its place on my workbench. This historic warship, a pioneering ironclad built by the Union Navy back in 1861, boasted a design and turret that left observers stunned. Her confrontation with another iron behemoth, the CSS Virginia, at Hampton Roads ended in a decisive draw. Unfortunately, she met her untimely demise in 1862 while caught in the grip of a brutal storm. Now I've added a second scaled model featuring only one cannon residing within its iconic turret.
