In my initial foray into Solid Edge's face features, I recounted how the USS Cortez NCC-78012 went missing during the Dominion War near Cardassian territory. This information was shared by Miles O'Brien with Benjamin Sisko on Deep Space 9. Although not identical to its sister ship, the Enterprise 1701-D, this was a common occurrence among similar vessels.
