The USS Acheron was designed and built by Section 31 during the conflict between the Federation and the Dominion.The USS Acheron is a former Cobaltian transporter,equipped with Federation technology and a multi-spectral warp engine.This ship was initially sent to the Gamma Quadrant for observation / espionage. Due to its trilithium-based mission mode, the warp nacelles glow magenta.At the height of the war, the ship was converted to a warship. For landing operations and combat missions, the USS Acheron received an illegalcloaking device and quantum cascade torpedoes.Both technologies were disregarded by Section 31.This eventually led to the destruction of the USS Acheronby a Federation battle group in the Gamma Quadrant shortly after the end of the war.
