Easily reversible and non-destructive mod that completely replaces the Oculus Quest Headstrap. This mod offers more adjustment capability than the Deluxe Audio Headstrap, all for just $30. The new headstrap provides significantly better weight distribution and a much better fit and customization compared to the original. Only two parts need to be printed: one for each side of the headstrap. This mod requires no permanent modification to either the Quest or the Viking headstrap, only the removal of the headstraps on each part. The posts in the back of the printed part align with the Viking Headstrap holes for the forehead strap, which will need to be removed and replaced by the new part. For added security, you can use a 3D pen to mushroom out the ends of the posts after installation. Alternatively, you can use a soldering iron or hot glue gun to achieve the same effect. After applying some velcro, simply fish the new part through the opening where you removed the Viking forehead strap and replace it with this part and attach the velcro to the Quest. You're done! The mod is easy to install and offers a much better fit and customization than the original headstrap. I had a piece of velcro on one side from testing a previous part, but it's not needed and has since been removed from my headstrap. I'm currently working on adapters for the speakers to fit on the removable and adjustable mask mounting points. An update to attach removable speakers to this head strap is in the works.
