USF Pirate Ship
thingiverse
I designed an animatronic pirate ship for a school project, but I ended up naming it USF Pirate Ship after removing its logo from the sails. The project involved using red LEDs in the cannons on a timed system, a stepper motor that moved the turrets back and forth along the edge of the deck with a camshaft and spring mechanism to simulate cannon firing, and a servo motor to mimic the boat bobbing up and down in the waves. All the attached files are for simply printing the boat, which has a flat base allowing it to stand upright. Note that the sail files I included are blank, so you won't get my awesome USF Bulls sails. If you have any questions or issues, feel free to leave a comment. If you're interested in the full project, check out my instructable on it at http://www.instructables.com/id/Animatronic-Pirate-Ship/. I posted it shortly after completing it and don't want to retype all that information again. It includes detailed instructions, Arduino code, electrical components, and all .stl files related to the full project.
With this file you will be able to print USF Pirate Ship with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on USF Pirate Ship.
