This device serves my sole purpose. It houses a planetary gear with a 1:4 ratio, primarily used for backup purposes. The entire structure is made from PLA material except for the ABS cable clip component. A black sprocket in the center powers the cable, while its counterpart at the end remains stationary and attached to another cable, effectively fixing the motor in place. This makeshift solution falls short without a 12V motor or an expensive stepper driver and stepper motor combination. The IR gate/rotary encoder disc generates 36 pulses per rotation and is secured to the first gear by small screws. To disassemble these parts, start by removing the IR gate from its fixed position. Don't blame me if this explanation prompts you to realize how much time could have been spent making a cup of coffee instead.
