I think this is perfect for this contest because it can be printed and used as is and not just as a prop. Also I know a lot of people that would buy one right now if there was one out there available. I made one similar to this out of steel and mounted it to my barstool racer and it works great but is too heavy to carry so the material being used in the contest would be perfect for this.
