Useful Hook - Under Cabinet or Desk - Headphones or Anything
thingiverse
I scoured every inch of my house and couldn't find a headphone hanger that fit perfectly under my cabinet. Every option I considered lacked one crucial feature: the ability to withstand heavier items if needed. So, I decided to create something myself. The result is a versatile headphone hanger with two distinct variants, each designed for different strength requirements. The "Full" variant offers a range of preset orientations, but I highly recommend printing it on the back orientation for basic hook functionality. While it won't be incredibly strong, it will still get the job done. For those who need more substantial support, the "Split" variant is the way to go. By printing this version, you'll ensure that the layer lines align left-to-right across the hook instead of front-to-back. When assembled with 1/8-inch pins and strong clear glue, this design becomes significantly stronger, capable of holding heavy objects with ease. Regardless of orientation, I strongly advise using at least four walls (1.6mm on a 0.4mm nozzle) and 30% infill to add extra strength to the overall print. This will ensure that your headphone hanger can withstand even the heaviest items. Mounting the hanger is a breeze, thanks to its flat head design. Simply screw it into place using #8 flat-head woodscrews of any length you prefer – mine were 1 inch long. The chamfers in the screw holes are crafted to allow for flush mounting with #8 screws, but #10 screws will also work if you need more strength. I opted for PLA+, but this design can be printed in a variety of standard materials (ABS, PETG, Nylon, etc.) depending on your specific requirements.
