Used insulin needle holder
thingiverse
A compact container for storing used insulin pen needles. Frustratingly, there's always a place to store the needles themselves, but never where to put them once they're used. Simple solution: attach a clip over my diabetic supplies bag handle and secure it with a lid that stays in place. Print Settings Printer: xyz duo Rafts: Not necessary Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 10% Notes: I've successfully printed these holders using PLA and ABS on both my xyz duo and junior printers, utilizing rafts for the ABS prints. The thin walls make infill unnecessary. How I Designed This The story of how I became a type one diabetic is a relatively short one. Two years ago, I visited the hospital with blurred vision, only to return the next day with a new daily insulin regimen of four injections. While managing my condition has its challenges, carrying around test meters, insulin pens, and needles is manageable. However, storing used needles in a sharps bin was always a hassle, prompting me to create something more practical. I envisioned a design that combines two tubes for easy separation between new and old needles or, alternatively, just old ones. Since I only need to store a day's worth, this solution has been effective.
