Use-Up-Reel-Ends Box
thingiverse
Introducing a new approach to printing parts with remaining plastic on a reel! Traditional methods often lead to truncated objects or waste plastic. To solve this problem, I've developed a printable box that ensures a usable result as long as you stay within a wide printing margin. Simply pause the print when filament runs low and replace the spool. Alternatively, if skilled enough, switch reels mid-print for seamless continuation. This versatile box design can be customized using provided STEP files and is suitable for various storage needs. The largest version uses approximately 24.5m of 2.8mm filament when printed to the top with specific settings, fitting on common printer build spaces like Prusa or Makerbot. However, ABS may cause slight warping at corners during printing. Enjoy the surprise element as you print and create functional storage solutions efficiently!
