ABOUT THIS 3D MODELThe United States Cargo Star Ship Nostromo, or simply USCSS Nostromo, is a ship that took the viewers and the crew of seven that operated it on a blood-curdling mission after intercepting a distress beacon from an uncharted planetoid LV-426. In the depths of the Zeta II Reticuli system, the vicious confrontation of humans and the Xenomorph species took place and resulted in the ship’s eventual destruction. But who could’ve thought that the USCSS Nostromo was destined to make an epic comeback on the pages of Gambody catalogue! Meticulously modelled by our contributing 3D artist, the ship took its most authentic guise and awaits to join your 3D printing collection! Despite being a work-class towing vehicle, the Nostromo fascinates with its brutally beautiful forms and enormous scale. The author of the model adorned the ship’s exterior with immensely detailed exterior graphics that one cannot help but want to unriddle. On the sides, the interstellar cruiser is equipped with two massive nacelles that are almost the size of the ship’s body, while the docking module is mounted on top of it. On the ship's nose and in numerous spots across its hull, communication antennas and comms dishes are installed to keep in touch with the distant lands while slowly drifting through space. Our modeller did not forget to add the super-powerful Yutani J38 auxiliary thruster, two Weylan L46 thrusters, three Forward Pitch Thrusters and other engines to the craft to help you propel this monster of a tow and its valuable cargo. Last but not least, should you need a break throughout the lengthy journey, you can always rest your ship on a special stand and display it with pride. Get ready to 3D print your very own USCSS Nostromo, we are taking off soon!ADAPTATION FOR 3D PRINTINGUSCSS Nostromo for 3D printing is an active assembly model and its moderation and adaptation for different types of 3D printers took Gambody team 65 hours in total. For you to receive the cleanest 3D printing result possible and to minimize the amount of filament needed for generated support the spacecraft model was divided into many assembly parts, e.g. its undercarriages, engine thrusters, the covers of thrusters, various doors, docking module hatch, the Nose Antenna, the Docking Tube, etc. are provided as separate STL files. The covers of the Yutani J38 auxiliary thruster, two Weylan L46 thrusters, three Forward Pitch Thrusters are provided separately and can be printed with transparent filament. There can be found special tunnels throughout the body of the Nostromo that were designed by our team for you to easily introduce LED wiring for illumination of the starfreighter. For you to display the Nostromo model among your Space Ships collection there is a two-part stand provided. All assembly parts are provided in STL files in recommended positions that were worked out in order to ensure the smoothness of the details’ surfaces after printing and that the 3D printing beginners won't face difficulties when placing the parts on a build plate. When downloading any model's file you will also receive "Assembly Manual" for FFF/FDM 1.0 and DLP/SLA/SLS 1.0 versions in PDF format. We highly recommend that you get acquainted with the “Assembly video” and "Assembly Manual" before getting down to the USCSS Nostromo model. The model is saved in STL files, a format supported by most 3D printers. All STL files for 3D printing have been checked in Netfabb and no errors were shown. The model's scale was calculated from the actual length of the USCSS Nostromo that is 243800 mm. The 3D printing model's chosen scale is 1/400 for FFF/FDM version and 1/800 for DLP/SLA/SLS version.VERSIONS' SPECIFICATIONSFFF/FDM 1.0 version features:- Contains 128 parts;- A printed ship without the platform is 210 mm tall, 412 mm wide, 644 mm deep;- A printed ship with the platform is 294 mm tall, 412 mm wide, 644 mm deep;- Assembly kit includes lock 128_Ge_lock_10H_x147 to connect the model's parts securely without glue that needs to be printed 147 times;- Highly-detailed exterior of the craft;- Removable hatch on the docking module;- USCSS Nostromo's undercarriages can be displayed extended or concealed behind the doors;- Elaborate gear mechanism and rotation of the key allows the extension and retraction of the undercarriages;- When the undercarriage extends or retracts, the doors open and close automatically;- The Docking Tube and the Nose Antenna are assembled with rotating adjustable grip connector that allows them to fully rotate;- The covers of the Yutani J38 auxiliary thruster, two Weylan L46 thrusters, three Forward Pitch Thrusters are provided separately and can be printed with transparent filament;- Model is made hollow for you to introduce LED wiring throughout the spaceship's body; - Made with a two-part stand to conveniently display the ship among your spacecraft fleet;- All parts are divided in such a way that you will print them with the smallest number of support structures.DLP/SLA 1.0 version features:- Contains 53 parts;- A printed ship without the platform is 105 mm tall, 206 mm wide, 322 mm deep;- A printed ship with the platform is 147 mm tall, 206 mm wide, 322 mm deep;- Highly-detailed exterior of the craft;- Removable hatch on the docking module;- USCSS Nostromo's static undercarriages can be displayed extended or concealed behind the doors;- The Docking Tube and the Nose Antenna of the ship are static;- The covers of the Yutani J38 auxiliary thruster, two Weylan L46 thrusters, three Forward Pitch Thrusters are provided separately and can be printed with transparent filament;- Model is made hollow for you to introduce LED wiring throughout the spaceship's body.- Made with a two-part stand to conveniently display the ship among your spacecraft fleet;- All parts are divided in such a way to fit the build plates and to ensure that support structures are generated where needed.WHAT WILL YOU GET AFTER PURCHASE?- STL files of USCSS Nostromo Model for 3D printing which consist of 181 parts;- 2 versions of files for this model for FFF/FDM and DLP/SLA/SLS printers;- High-poly detailed model of USCSS Nostromo;- Assembly Manual for FFF/FDM 1.0 and DLP/SLA/SLS 1.0 versions in PDF format;- Detailed settings that we provide as a recommendation for Cura , Simplify3D and Slic3r for the best print;- Full technical support from the Gambody Support Team. You can get the model of USCSS Nostromo for 3D Printing immediately after the purchase!
