USB type A surface-mount case
pinshape
This case is designed to fit snugly into a USB type A port that has been carefully removed from its original board. The first iteration provided a loose hold, but the snap-in bottom turned out almost flawless. Small wood screws are used for secure anchoring through pre-drilled holes. To prevent short circuits and wire shielding damage, hot glue was applied liberally to cover soldered connections. Additional glue was added around the connector to ensure stability, although it would be ideal to achieve a firm fit without relying on adhesive. The glue gun's brown color is a testament to its prolonged exposure to heat from hours of inactivity. Print Settings: Printer Brand: Printrbot Printer: Simple Black Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.3 mm Infill: 20% Notes: To avoid drips and ensure a smooth finish, the case was printed with the narrow end facing down on the platform. The printing process involved coarse and fast settings with Hatchbox Gold PLA at 200 degrees Celsius.
