USB, SD Card, and audio cable extension mounts
thingiverse
I recently installed a mini-MAC under my workbench and had to crawl under to access the USB, mic/headphone, and SD card slots. This setup wouldn't suffice, so I ordered some extension cables and designed a couple of jack mounts to be installed under the bench top. The mounts fit perfectly the very first time and are secured with ¾ X #6 wood screws with a countersunk head (I used two 1” X #6 screws for the holes in the middle of the USB/audio mount). To ensure proper installation, make sure to pre-drill any holes and apply a little wax on the screw threads before you gently screw them in. Avoid using an impact driver… The links below are for the exact extension cables that I ordered and measured when designing the mounts.
