I utilize the Andonstar Digital Microscope extensively, frequently adjusting the stand to focus on items that don't fit within its default straight-down orientation. To resolve this issue, I created a simple mount that allows me to pivot the scope. Constructed from PETG, this modification enables me to concentrate and complete projects with ease. I modified the microscope's carriage by drilling 5mm holes and securing it with a 4mm bolt around the scope barrel. By pivoting the scope around this bolt, I achieve the desired flexibility. With magnification, even slight camera movements become apparent. Potential improvements to this design include: Increasing the size of the mount to improve clearance from the post. Enhancing rigidity to minimize oscillation when touching the camera. Implementing a socket and ball pivot for greater control over angles. Designing a captured nut or insert for added stability.
