USB (Quickcharge 3.0) Adapter for Einhell Power X Change Battery
thingiverse
I created this adapter to extract four Quickcharge ports from my Einhell battery, effectively transforming it into an extremely powerful powerbank. With this setup, I can quickly charge four smartphones or utilize four TS80 tools (the successor to the TS100) at a rapid pace. Edit 2019-07-19: After testing with the TS80 using Ralims Firmware, it works flawlessly at 12V. The top of the adapter holds the USB modules securely in place without requiring any screws. For assembly purposes, I applied hot glue to secure them firmly onto the top, allowing for easy attachment. You'll need to remove the plastic inserts from the USB jack (see photo). I've also included a version with only two ports and the Fusion 360 project file. PS: Upon closer examination, it appears that purchasing an Einhell battery solely for this purpose may not be cost-effective (unless you require multiple QC jacks). A 20 Ah powerbank possesses 74 Wh of capacity (calculated by multiplying 20Ah by 3.7V), which typically costs between $20-$30. In contrast, the battery shown has a capacity of 54 Wh (determined by calculating 3Ah multiplied by 18V) and retails for $30-$40. This discrepancy arises from the fact that tool batteries like these are designed to deliver an immense amount of power within a short timeframe. According to Einhell's support, their battery can supply up to 70A.
