I have a flat-screen television with time shift and recording capabilities that store media directly onto a USB external hard drive. The only issue is that there isn't any space behind the screen to keep the HDD secure, so it just hangs precariously in mid-air - which prompted me to create a custom bracket for it. This holder accommodates the Transcend StoreJet, measuring 129.5mm x 80.8mm x 16.1mm in size and can be easily scaled up or down to fit other similar models. To secure the bracket in place, simply use two-sided sticky tape to attach it behind the TV, alongside a computer or any other suitable surface.
