USB GU5.3 Lamp
thingiverse
I made a lamp with USB input myself. Used an XL6009 board and a micro USB breakout inside and soldered the GU5.3 12V lamp to it. You can find similar parts on eBay at https://www.ebay.com/itm/Boost-Buck-DC-DC-adjustable-step-up-down-Converter-XL6009-Module-Solar-Voltage/322626037251?hash=item4b1e02a603:g:dIAAAOSwTLxZfIQN and https://www.ebay.com/itm/Micro-USB-2-0-Breakout-Board-Micro-B-Buchse-Lotpads-Connector/122746681192?hash=item1c9445b768:g:INAAAOSwmhZZ3aO4. I use that lamp for assembling earrings I print with my 3D printer, and sometimes I need a spotlight - but I don't have an AC outlet near the place where I assemble it. So I use a USB power bank with that lamp now :). It's also good for camping. I used a lighter to "glue" PLA-printed parts together after assembly, so I cannot open it anymore - but that is fine for me. If it breaks, I need to crack-open and reprint it.
