The Grommet is a component that secures a moulded cable type, complete with a USB plug or socket, within a panel. All settings can be fully customized. To insert and hold a USB plug or socket, firmly press the attached cable into the rectangular slot in the Grommet. Secure the USB unit using friction and a clamp screw. An internal ring provides additional support by gripping onto the back of the device. A screw holds this ring to the outer flange, which bites securely into place around the edge of the USB. Small ridges within the grommet enable the removal of burs that may form near the mounting hole in the panel. A supplied Key allows users to locate and assemble parts easily, with features designed to prevent rotational errors.
