USB Dongle Repair for Anker TM137G Wireless Vertical Mouse
thingiverse
I purchased an Anker TM137G Wireless Vertical Mouse but the USB dongle was damaged. I verified that the receiver was working, and decided to try to make a replacement piece. I carefully removed the metal by bending the two pushed in tabs up and then set to work in CAD. I used Onshape to build out the geometry and printed it on my Elegoo Neptune 2 printer. I had to make a version 2.0 to address issues related to supports and add a notch for the board to lock into. (I'm new to CAD and this is one of the very first things I've tried to model, so if it isn't perfect that is probably why.) After verifying the fit I replaced the metal USB socket and bent the tabs back down. I was going to add some superglue to hold it together, but it doesn't seem to need it. Overall I'm pleased with the result and figured someone else might need this part. Note that my receiver has a large component (probably for the 2.4Ghz radio) that was not attached very straight, so I made the top of the dongle a bit higher to provide space for it, which means this won't fit in the bottom of the mouse anymore. Not an issue for me, but wanted to disclose this upfront.
