USB digital voltmeter housing
thingiverse
Housing for a small digital voltmeter and a male USB type "A" plug. Designed to test the voltage of USB chargers on golf carts (will work with any USB charger) without risking an expensive device. It also looks more professional than sticking test leads into the plug, or using an old charge cable to connect test leads. All tolerances are designed to be tight, so a small amount of filing may bee needed for a correct fitment, depending on your printer. Additional parts needed: [Male USB plugs](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B081YV9VDH/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) [Mini digital voltmeters](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00YALV0NG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_image_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) I would suggest clipping the wires from the meter short, and soldering a silicone wire extension to reach the USB port, as the wire from the meter is fairly stiff. Connect the red and white wires together and solder to the positive lead on the USB plug. The black wire goes to the negative. I would highly suggest covering the screen of the meter with a bit of clear packing tape. I notice during assembly that the black masking around the numbers rubs off easily. After connecting the wires, use superglue to secure all the pieces together.
