I crafted the component utilizing a lathe, selecting delrin as the material due to its precise characteristics. My goal was to maintain accuracy, so I opted for a laser with a wavelength of 650 nm, a power output of 5 mw, and a voltage rating of 5 v. The laser's cross-sectional diameter measures 12 mm. To establish a connection, I soldered the red + wire from the USB cable to the corresponding wire on the laser diode, while linking the black wire from the diode to its counterpart in the USB cable. This design can also be produced through three-dimensional printing.
