USB Charging Station - Aspire Breeze II, Phones, iPad
thingiverse
I wanted to get all my devices organized and consolidated for easy USB charging. This lets me place them all on a platform that sits above a 6-port RavPower USB charger. The charger is positioned below the platform, which raises it by about 35mm off the table surface. The platform itself has several slots in front where I can fit my Aspire Breeze II vape devices. There's also a larger compartment on one side for whatever else I might need to store. In addition, there are separate areas for charging thicker phones, like my iPhone XS Max with a wallet case, and normal thickness iPhones. I've also included a slot for my Kindle Paperwhite reader in its case, as well as a space for an iPad in a thicker case. The platform's design allows for open spaces at the front and back, plus a 60mm gap on each side for cables to run through. I created this platform using a 3D printer with a .6 nozzle and PLA filament to prototype it quickly. However, I encountered some issues with the filament towards the end of the print job, so the upper walls aren't fully complete in my photo above. To minimize the amount of support material that needed to be removed, I printed the platform upright. While this resulted in a lot of support on the underside, I figured it was better to deal with the ugly remnants from support removal there rather than having them in the slots where my devices would sit.
