I bought some new USB thumb drives that are surprisingly functional despite their simplicity. They feature a sliding cover that may seem like an unnecessary addition, but it's actually really useful for keeping pocket lint out of the USB plug. The cover doesn't completely enclose the plug, but it gets the job done and even allows me to stand my drive upright on its flat end.
